SPRING FEVER

I was honored to attend the launch of the new Phillip Lim boutique opening inside Saks Fifth at Bal Harbour stores. The event was one of the best social gatherings I have attended being that the crowd was great and there was an amazing live performance by New York band group Ms Mister (if you haven't heard of them definitely google them and listen to some of their songs, they are amazing). Some of the pieces from Lim's new collection were exhibited on mannequins and I must say that I can't wait to visit the new boutique. Since it was also the first day of spring I decided to welcome the new season in my Dolce and Gabbana skirt that I had completely forgotten about and finally decided to put it to use.

50 Shades of Pink

Good afternoon all!
Fashion week was amazing! Clearly my busy schedule has permitted me from sharing my experiences with you, so lets catch up a little!! On this day Francia and I went to the Degen show and ended up at the Milk Studio. I was clearly feeling "milky" in my pastel pinks and grey beanie. I decided to throw on a pair of silky cream socks to add flow into the transition of my outfit to my black booties. In actuality I'm a strapless corset dress but of course I paired it with this very fluffy cropped knitwear. Tell me what you think!

NYFW DAY FIVE | PRINTS

NYFW Day 5 outfit: You can never go wrong with prints on prints, besides I decided to channel the designer of the show I attended that day, Lie Sang Bong, as the collection was color driven and print heavy. It was by far one of my favorite shows from fashion week. I'd be sure to do a post from the show with pictures from the collection. A quick spotlight on my Elie Tahari blazer, it is most definitely the perfect fit. From the textured print to the cut and the way it folds in the back, you will be seeing more of me in this superb blazer!

Stella Jean Fall 2014

Haitian-Italian designer, Stella Jean strikes again with her amazing wax cotton fabrics in her fall 2014 ready to wear collection. As always, the collection is never disappointing. However, I must say that I am not a fan of some of the styling for the show as I found everything to be a lot and very heavy, causing distractions to some of the pieces. The pieces alone by themselves are nothing less than incredible. I also want to commend her for using models of color in this year's show seeing as though she has been a controversial topic in terms of her lack of representation of models of color, though she is of Haitian heritage. I hope she continues to use more of us in her upcoming projects and collections. Her prints always steals my heart and because being african, I can totally relate to this collection.
